Dr. Polanco
Dr. Juan Óscar Polanco Cirineo has spent nearly three decades building a medical career grounded in surgery. He studied medicine from 1990 to 1996 and graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA) in Santiago de los Caballeros, a title officially registered and validated by the Dominican Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT). Between 2001 and 2004 he completed his postgraduate specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), a program developed in collaboration with the Hospital Regional Universitario José María Cabral y Báez — years that gave him extensive operating-room experience and a deep understanding of female anatomy and patient care. He later reinforced that surgical base with a formal postgraduate specialization in General Surgery from the Universidade Paranaense (UNIPAR) and Centro Universitário do Norte de São Paulo (UNORTE) in Brazil, an 8,640-hour lato sensu program completed between 2022 and 2025 and likewise recognized as valid by MESCYT.

Aesthetic surgery is where that experience is applied today, and Dr. Polanco has pursued it through continuous international training. He holds a Master's degree in Aesthetic Surgery from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores en Medicina in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico — a title officially recognized by MESCYT — as well as a 1,000-hour international postgraduate specialization in Facial and Body Aesthetic Surgery from Faculdade Monitor in São Paulo, Brazil, completed between 2023 and 2024 and also validated by MESCYT, alongside his plastic surgery training at Universidade Brasil in São Paulo. His hands-on credentials include international training in aesthetic breast surgery (mastopexy with and without implants, augmentation and reduction mammoplasty) and female intimate aesthetic surgery through the Academia Latinoamericana de Medicina y Cirugía Estética (ALAMECE) in Lima, Peru, plus specialized certification in subcutaneous hormone pellet implants. More recently he completed a series of advanced facial surgery courses with FACOP–CDIA in Lima, covering rhytidoplasty (facelift), rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty with brow lift, otoplasty, bone mentoplasty, platysmaplasty and lip lift. ALAMECE has twice honored him with Diplomas of Recognition — in São José do Rio Preto, Brazil, for his work in advanced facial and body aesthetic surgery techniques, and in Santiago de los Caballeros for his commitment to teaching and his positive impact on the training of physicians across Latin America.
